Who is Nikko?
Nikko, an up and coming R&B singer-songwriter, was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. A graduate of Duncanville High School, Nikko caught the entertainer bug at the age of 10 while performing with a local theater group at Fair Park in Dallas, TX. He continued performing with that group until he was 13 years old, then became more involved in his high schools’ choir and theater programs by singing and helping to choreograph the shows. In 2012 he formed a music group with some of his friends that went by the stage name “Speak.” This opportunity allowed Nikko to further develop his performing skills, and gain more valuable experience in the entertainment industry. The band performed in various churches and venues around the metroplex, but ultimately disbanded after a year and a half run. No longer part of a group, this allowed Nikko the time to develop a clearer direction for his solo career. Nikko ultimately decided he wanted to be known as an artist, not just a singer, and incorporate his love for fashion and photography with his first love, music. Already setting trends in the fashion world with features in D Magazine, Central Track, Fashion Bomb Daily, and Voyage Dallas, he seeks to set trends with his style of lyrically driven R&B music coupled with catchy melodies attracting listeners of all ages. Nikko hopes listeners will not only want to get up and dance, but also make that connection with the message in the song, regardless of their age. His debut album “Dream a Reality” is available everywhere now! In partnership with Artists Boot Camp, an artist development company based in Arlington, TX, Nikko hopes to add his footprint to the rise in quality R&B talent coming from the Southern Market.
